- In this role, you'll review the organization’s tax obligations, statutory deductions, and past filings to assess overall compliance with applicable laws.
- Examine records from the past five years to identify liabilities, exposures, and compliance gaps while liaising with auditors on tax-related issues.
- Review internal systems and controls for managing tax obligations, and recommend improvements to strengthen compliance and mitigate risks.
- Propose remedies for non-compliance, advise on corrective actions, and provide expert insights on potential areas of tax exposure.
- Present findings and actionable recommendations to GROOTS Kenya’s management and Board, ensuring alignment with legal, donor, and nonprofit best practices.
