Role Overview:
We are looking for a seasoned Data Scientist with 7+ years of experience in appliedanalytics, statistical modeling, and machine learning to help turn complex datasets into actionableinsights. The ideal candidate combines deep technical skills with a passion for uncovering insightsthat inform strategy, policy, and impact at scale.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement machine learning models and predictive analytics to solve keybusiness and development challenges
• Analyze large-scale, multi-source datasets (structured and unstructured) to identify trends,patterns, and actionable intelligence
• Collaborate with research, engineering, and product teams to embed advanced analyticsinto our platform
• Develop algorithms and scoring frameworks for indexes (e.g., political sentiment, economicconfidence, brand perception)
• Build visualizations and dashboards using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Plotly Dash
• Ensure statistical rigor and model interpretability in client-facing analytics
• Contribute to technical documentation and publish thought leadership on data science inAfrica
