Description
The Presidential Climate Commission (PCC) is recruiting a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead internal operations, governance systems, and strategic resource management within the Secretariat. This is a senior leadership position reporting to the Executive Director and is ideal for a dynamic professional with a deep understanding of public sector governance, climate policy, and strategic planning.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead strategic planning and budgeting processes
- Oversee donor engagement, funding proposals, and financial oversight
- Establish and manage governance, M&E, procurement, and administrative systems
- Support the PCC’s transition and development agenda with robust internal systems
Requirements:
- Postgraduate degree (Master’s preferred) in a relevant field
- At least 10 years’ experience (5 in senior management)
- Strong understanding of PFMA and climate-development intersections
- Demonstrated leadership, planning, and stakeholder engagement skills
