Alt School Africa
Program Associate

Description
The Program Associate role exists as a supporting role for the delivery of AltSchool's programs. The role has a direct impact on our brand as our learners interface with whoever takes the role on a daily basis.
As a Programs Associate, you’ll work closely with the Program Manager for your designated school, supporting all required program-related tasks to maintain high-quality program delivery for your learners.
You will provide support to the learners where needed, and also manipulate chunks of learner-related data. A successful Program Associate is one who is able to support the seamless execution of all goals for the specific school.
What you will be doing:
- Own the planning and implementation of ‘mini-projects’ designed to support learner success
- Facilitate learner enrollment, engagement, evaluations, and daily communication.
- Manage the onboarding and offboarding processes for learners across cohorts.
- Provide program-specific technical support and escalate LMS issues to the Product and Engineering teams, including resolving payment challenges.
- Protect learner data in accordance with the NDPR & GDPR data protection regulations.
- Regularly maintain and update the leaderboard.
- Coordinate and manage live class sessions.
- Assist the learning & academics team with tracking and aligning overall program timelines.
- Interface with some stakeholders involved in the various programs and effectively deliver value to all.
- Supporting the Learning and Academics team behind 'The Alt School Africa' to create a new generation of learners from your designated school with a low entry barrier while delivering a quality experience.
- Manage program partnerships with organizations that are able to deliver quality technical content and support new AltSchool initiatives.
- Support retention by tracking in real-time the progress of all students, regularly checking in when they are lagging behind, and providing adequate support.
- Efficiently support all instructors and mentors in their responsibilities while tracking mentor, instructor, and students' progress weekly using performance review frameworks.
- Identify and improve collaborative ways to improve the internal program processes.
- Support with the launching and execution of different departments within the school.
- Serve as a bridge between students and instructors.
